03/09/2010: More parties coming up!
With the Crossing Borderlines-show running well on Topradio Aalter, it's time for Config to play at a few parties again. The first one is coming up on saturday the 4th in De Kleine Beer in Beernem, where I will play during the entire evening. Mostly commercial tracks but beware, I wouldn't be Config if I didn't drop in a few unknown goodies. Check out the Info-page for more schedule updates!
I've added my latest sets, Crossing Borderlines 055 and Inner Sanctuary 021, to the download-section! Especially Inner Sanctuary is a gem, if I may say so. Certainly one of my favourite sets this year.
18/07/2010: The big entry
Last 4 weeks really changed a lot in the dj-life of Config. In july I started my radioshow at Topradio Aalter, every Saturday at 17h CET you will hear the best in progressive from now on :) The show is called Crossing Borderlines which means that there are 2 Crossing Borderlines now. I'm about to change the name of my AH.FM-show soon. In the meanwhile I've added my latest sets, so check out the download-section and see what's for grabs!
12/06/2010: New sets added
I've added some new sets to the download-section; Inner Sanctuary 20, Crossing Borderlines 052, 053 and a special 3 and a half hour back to back set with DJ Rednas!
Crossing Borderlines 053 is a special episode in memory of Hendrik Cornelis, one of my biggest 'fans', a really great guy with a heart for Trance and Progressive. I guess life gives and takes.... I will surely miss him. May he rest in peace.
The episode received a lot of great comments, so it surely is one to check out.
A bit news about my upcoming show on Topradio Aalter now: I've mixed in my first episode already and the show is starting in July. Once I receive more info about this I won't hesitate to drop it over here too.

14/05/2010: A BIG step up!
It surely has been too long since I updated my website again, but there is a reason to all of that. During the last weeks I have been working on my deejay carreer a lot behind the scenes and to be honest I think I took a huge leap forward.
Last update I was already announcing some nice opportunities were lying ahead and actually there even happened a lot more than I expected!
I am more than happy to announce that Config will join Topradio Aalter for a weekly radioshow! I really have been working on this for quite a long time and of course it's needless to say that I was completely filled with joy when the manager of Topradio Aalter confirmed me that I will be having a radioshow soon! We are still settling the details of this at the moment so I hope to give you another update really soon.
And there's more, because Sense.FM agreed to start airing Inner Sanctuary too on every 3rd saturday of the month at 18 h CET. I'm enormously happy with this, please check out their forums while my set is airing and feel free to post your comments!
Like that wasn't enough of good news I was asked to do an article about my dj carreer so far in Brugsch Handelsblad, a more local newspaper around the regions of Bruges. This is really a big step forward for me and it's just great that my name will be dropped in my own region too. I really hope there will be positive results coming up! I'm deeply honoured to be asked for an interview on a newspaper like Brugsch Handelsblad; that does mean alot to me and hopefully a lot of people will notice me and remember the name. This article can only have positive consequences. I'll scan in the article (in Dutch) and post it up later on the website.
Last but not least there are some new episodes of my show added in the download-section. Highly recommended!

22/03/2010: Finally some more field work ahead!
With Spring finally becoming more and more visual in the weather forecasts during the lasts weeks it's also time for more parties to come up! It's been awhile since I had the chance to do another 'field trip' but yes, at the 10th of April here we go again! I'll be playing at the KLJ 1 Euro Party at Reigerlo Beernem again. Last editions were unforgettable and guess what, this one won't be one to forget soon! Really looking forward to it..
While awaiting the awesomeness I have mixed episode 19 of Inner Sanctuary and again I'm very happy with the result. It's up for you to grab in the download-section!
In the meantime I can also confirm that I will be doing another guestmix for Trancesonic.FM's 2nd Anniversary in the first weekend of April so watch out their website to see when my set will be aired! That is, if you actually care of course :D
During the last weeks I also started to look for new opportunities for my show Inner Sanctuary to be aired on more radiostations. I might have some exciting news very soon but I'll wait to announce anything for now..
By the way, thanks for all the good comments on my last sets everyone, both Crossing Borderlines 050 as Inner Sanctuary 018 were welcomed and appreciated very well, needless to say it feels great to hear and see that more and more of you appreciate my work. Thanks again and keep on checking out those episodes!
28/02/2010: Website works continue
During the last weeks there has been some working on the website. At the first view not really visual changes but a lot has been changed in the system running behind the website. The download-section got restructured and I'm happy to announce that I decided to put up my most famous mashups for download! They are up for you to grab and listen in 320 kbps quality!
Crossing borderlines 049 and Inner Sanctuary 018 have also been added for your listening pleasure. The Inner Sanctuary episode is one of my favourite sets from the lasts monts and certainly the best set I did this year so far.
Last but not least I'm invited to mix a set for Sense.FM's 5th anniversary event! I will surely put this one up for download too once the set has been aired. If you want to hear the set live on air, check out their website.

24/01/2010: A New year, a fresh start!
A lot happened since the last time i posted some news and sets over here, but i`ll try to make a nice resume for you anyway.
The end of the year wasn't that successful for me; my laptop crashed and I lost a lot of newly bought tracks.. I ended up receiving my newly ordered laptop on the day before Christmas, so I gave myself a nice christmas present there ;-)
Since I started working I had more and more trouble trying to mix my three sets a month, so in the end I think i wisely decided to drop Perfect Balance off my schedule. This should get the quality level in my other shows even higher! When I think of it, three shows a month was quite extraordinary, actually having 2 shows still is quite exceptionnal.
But ok, the other shows are still running and I'm happy to announce that I found enough time to do a 2009 yearmix. It was aired as Inner Sanctuary 17 and you can find it in the download-section. It's totally packed with quality tunes, so if you're about to download a mix, be sure to pick this one out also. There are also 2 new episodes of Crossing Borderlines added!
29/11/2009: Inner Sanctuary 016 and Crossing Borderlines 046, The classics edition, added !
It's been some time since I updated my page but here I am now, back with 2 new sets in the download section. Both sets are amongst my favourite sets i did this year: Inner Sanctuary became a very melodic episode and actually I have to same the same thing for Crossing Borderlines 046, which is an exclusive classic tranceset I did! You can find them at the download-section.
Last but not least I have to thank everyone who supported me at the Topradio Aalter Dj-Contest! I became 5th of 39 contestants, so it's needless to say i'm happy with the final result. There were chances for me to end up higher, but in the finals not everything went as planned for me and honestly I don't think there was a slight chance of me winning the contest in the end. The top 3 was all commercial ;) I'm very happy that I was able to showcast some progressive tunes. Again, thanks to everyone who supported me during the contest, I appreciate it greatly !
11/11/2009: DJ Contest Final coming up on november 14th
Last months have been pretty busy for me, with quite a lot of appearances at parties but the best is yet to come. Literally, because next weekend the finals of Topradio Aalter's dj-contest will take place. On the 14th of November at Kadans Aalter I will be playing a 25 minute set, together with the other 7 last finalists. I hope as many of you as possible will be able to support me @ Kadans!

22/10/2009: Wow...
Wow... Last weekend had a way better ending than I could possibly dream of. To keep it short: I reached the finals of Topradio Aalter's DJ Contest! During the semi finals I did what I promissed and delivered a quite energetic progressive house set again. Mixing went good and people really seemed to like it, according to the text messages regarding my set :) Thanks to everyone who supported me by sending those text messages and everyone else who supports me in general; I'm very happy I have so many people that back me.
The semi finals went really well for me actually, I had a good feeling from the beginning on and when I finished the set I still had the good feeling I started with. I mixed a technical very good set, as I can recall from the jury comments that reached my mailbox yesterday, and I can't help but to think likewise. Mixing on new material is never easy but it went well and the jury really appreciated my efforts to make the mix more interesting by 'knobbing' and stuff like that.
The final will take place at the 14th of November at Kadans, Aalter. Everyone is invited, the more, the better !
During the next 2 saturdays I will be playing at parties in Beernem; I'm really looking forward to that. At 'De Langste Nacht' this weekend I'll play the whole evening with dj J.E.O.F. on my side, who will also be my 'Battle-dj-partner' on the 31st of November ;) It'll be a very special set that night so don't stay at home, experience the party!!
Btw: In the download-section you can find the newest episode of Inner Sanctuary, and it's a really trancy episode, so grab it while it's hot ;)

11/10/2009: Config needs your support!
Hi everyone!
I'm very happy to announce that i succeeded to reach the semi finals of Topradio Aalter's Dj Contest. I sent in a real progressive house set and the jury decided it was good enough to make it to the next round! Out of 39 dj's i'm one of the 16 dj's who reached the semi's.
In the semi finals i'm asked to do a set of 20 minutes, that will be aired on Topradio Aalter and at Kadans, Aalter. At Kadans a live reporter will do interviews with the listeners and there will also be an applause meter. Of course i'll need all the support I can get during that evening, so I hope a lot of you can find the time to be at Kadans, Aalter at 20h this saturday evening, the 17th of October! You can find more info on www.topradioaalter.be. After I mixed my set at the studio I will come over to Kadans to join my 'supporters' ;)
Last but not least, there's a new episode of Inner Sanctuary and Crossing Borderlines uploaded onto the
download-section. Actually Crossing Borderlines 045 is the set i sent in for the dj-contest. So if you are eager to hear what convinced the jury to put me through to the next round, have a go and download the show !

16/09/2009: More parties scheduled for the next months!
First of all I have to say i had one of the best parties on the KLJ Nacht Van Beernem Party! People stayed until latenight and the organization actually almost had to push them out! Great experience for me to play for so many people, it was a real pleasure. Thanks to J.E.O.F. and Fiesta Magica for the back2back sets, it was great to mix with you guys. Even though it has been the most commercial set i've ever did, it was so enjoyable I couldn't care less ;)
Seems like people really appreciated it also, because for the next months I've got some new parties coming up! More info is to be found at the info-page.
I mustn't forget to say that you can also find my 2 latest sets at the download-page. The Crossing Borderlines set is actually a summer set I mixed last year, but really one to check out, one of the best mixes I ever did. Perfect Balance is delivering some new deeper tunes, together with some big funky sounds. Check them out, and don't forget that next week i'll be uploading my newest Inner Sanctuary set over here too. I mixed it a few days ago and all I can say is: Don't miss it ! ;)

01/08/2009: Perfect Balance continues!
Some time ago Simon Steur decided to quit doing his Perfect Balance sets. After a talk with the radiostation manager of Danceradio we've decided to go on with Perfect Balance. The total time of the show will be put back to one hour, being the hour I always mixed. I'm happy to be continuing my show and the result of the first solo episode, Perfect Balance 019, can now be found on the download-page! It has become a pretty Tomorrowland-inspired episode, with funky bonkers like Pig & Dan - Cubes and a wonderful new remix of Underworld - Two Months Off. Check it out!

20/07/2009: Inner Sanctuary 012 added!
I added the first new set on my download-page today! Inner Sanctuary 012 is a big mixture of styles, going from deep house to progressive trance, from techhouse to techno.. Don't forget that you'll still be able to download the older episodes at the bottom of the page! Enjoy the set, your feedback is always welcome.

18/07/2009: No way back!
Finally the big moment came: Today they sent me the email with all the information to my new webhost. www.djconfig.com is now officially mine and ready for take off! I already added some new stuff to the website and in general the basics are here, but there's still much work to do. The layout will have a few extra addings and also the content will be extracted a lot.
